"I do not understand how anyone can live without some small place of enchantment to turn to."
-Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings
I began running ten years ago, and with each mile I have fallen more in love. I am a recent college graduate beginning my teaching career in North Florida and attending the University of Florida for graduate school. Although my competitive cross country career has come to a close, I regularly make time to return to the trails that I have grown up with and explore others throughout the state.
Currently unable to run because of a persistent case of osteitis pubis, I have turned to the wise words of Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings. Marjorie reminds me of why I love where I live and run, even including those tawny sand trails and the weight of the humid air. There is no other place I would rather be. This is the story of my return to running, racing, and natural Florida.
Through many miles, I have found my Cross Creek. I hope to inspire you to find yours.
